Melbourne death/doom purveyors Inverloch have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Distance | Collapsed, at Stereogum. The new track is titled “The Empyrean Torment” and it plummets the listener into a deep, dark realm of perpetual doom. The lumbering, nearly 12-minute leviathan issues sprawling funeral doom that eventually evolves into blistering death metal and back again. Check out the track at this location.

Copenhagen grinders Piss Vortex have announced the release of a new six-track EP that follows up the band’s 2014 self-titled debut. The EP will be titled Future Cancer and will be released on April 1 via Indisciplinarian. To build anticipation for the impending release, the band have premiered a cut from the record, titled “Den Moderne Mands Lænke”, at Decibel.
