Canadian noise trio KEN mode have premiered the new video for their track “Absolutely Not” at Noisey. Taken from their new split with Chicago progressive sludge purveyors The Atlas Moth, the angular tune is set to a discombobulating, erratic performance video. Neurosis‘ Scott Kelly has confirmed a new string of solo tour dates that will commence later this month. The trek will begin on February 23 in Nashville and will conclude on February 29 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kelly will be performing material predominately from his The Wake LP as well as his recently releases three-song EP, Push Me On to the Sun, which can be streamed at CVLT Nation or after the break. Kelly will also be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist John Judkins of Rwake. Check out the tour dates after the break.
Denver misanthropic doom trio Primitive Man recently premiered two upcoming split releases at Noisey. The first split is with UK sludge act Sea Bastard and is due out on March 7 via Dry Cough Records and Black Reaper Records. New York progressive unit Moon Tooth have premiered their upcoming album, Chromaparagon, at Guitar World. The album will be self-released by the band this Friday, February 5, and can be purchased here. The genre-defying album blends elements of classic and modern progressive metal and rock, sludge, jazz, blues and myriad of other musical styles into an aggressive and catchy beast. Swedish post-metal outfit Cult of Luna have announced that they and ex-Made Out of Babies/Battle of Mice vocalist, Spylacopa contributor Julie Christmas will release a new collaborative album this year. The record will be titled Mariner and will be released on April 8. No other information has been released thus far, but the band have uploaded a short teaser which can be viewed after the break.
Pre-orders for the record are slated to start on February 11.
Both Graf Orlock and sister band Ghostlimb have premiered their upcoming full-length records at LA Weekly.
