Kingston, NY’s resident powerhouse sludge trio Clover will be issuing a follow up to their excellent 2014 debut Vultures on April 5th, in the form of Exile which will be released via Manic Progression Records.
The forthcoming full length is 8 songs of gritty, sludgy metal infused with a solid dose of AmRep style noise rock influence. Svbterranean is proud to premiere the first track from Exile, entitled Monolith. The song showcases all of the elements that make Clover such a unique band – their angular, off kilter guitar riffs and raw vocals that recall bands like Coalesce and Converge, and a rhythm section that mines the same vein of asphalt-laden, visceral pummel that Unsane and Helmet have been refining for the last couple decades. In short, Monolith is a beast that growls in your face and then devours you. Listen to it now:
Be on the lookout for Clover as they hit the road in the next few months to bring Exile to audiences new and old. The release show for the record will take place on 4/8/16 at The Anchor in Kingston, NY alongside MPR labelmates Dead Channels and Hellkeeper, with an assist from CT heavy rockers VRSA.
The track listing for Exile is:
2. Next of Kin
3. The Woven Stone
4. Into Exile
