Everyone has experienced the pain and grief of a loss. The pain, the anger, the denial and the eventual acceptance are all familiar to those who have been caught in the tumultuous whirlwind of emotions that comes with the death of a loved one. German hardcore band Throwers set out to capture these stages of grief in audio form. The result is their first full-length recording, aptly titled Loss. Their decimating, dismal brand of hardcore channels the emotional tug-of-war associated with grief with its auditory struggle between aggression and somberness. Svbterranean recently caught up with Throwers guitarist Kay to discuss the new record and its themes, their mystical beginnings and their failed attempt to save the world.
