Wisconsin blackened post-metal outfit Bereft have announced that they will enter the studio next month to recorded their debut full-length record, and follow-up to their 2014 Lost Ages EP. The band will begin recording the album with Kevin Antreassian (The Dillinger Escape Plan) at Backroom Studios in Dover, New Jersey, on May 17. The band have enlisted to the help of Downfall of Gaia and Black Table drummer Michael Kadnar while they look for a new, full-time drummer. Bassist Cade Gentry commented on the upcoming effort:
“We’re beyond excited to be working with Michael and Kevin and to finally get these songs recorded. This record will be heavier, louder, and bigger and we can’t wait for everyone to hear these songs.”
The album is expected to be released sometime this fall via Prosthetic Records.
In the meantime, check out Lost Ages after the break.
