Swedish melodeath quintet In Mourning have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Afterglow, at Invisible Oranges. The new track is titled “The Call to Orion” and it churns out triumphant melodies and blistering metallic blitzes in abundance. The band’s fluid transitions between bouncing groove-heavy riffs, melodic dirges and thunderous sludge make for a consistently engaging track. Check it out after the break.

New York mathcore trio Meek is Murder announced that they have finished tracking their upcoming fourth full-length record with producer Kurt Ballou. The full-length, which will be titled Was, will follow the band’s 2015 Onward EP and their 2013 full-length, Everything is Awesome Nothing Matters. The record will not enter the mastering process with Alan Douches at the helm. Drummer Frank Godla comments:
Virginian exploratory sludge outfit Inter Arma have premiered the title track from their forthcoming album, Paradise Gallows, over at Stereogum. The quintet embark on quite the sonic journey with this nearly 12-minute opus. The first three minutes of “The Paradise Gallows” consists of slow-burning, ethereal melodies that build up to a cataclysmic, melancholic procession of doom. Stream the track after the break.
