Salt Lake City doom crew Subrosa have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, For This We Fought the Battle of Ages, over at Stereogum. Titled “Killing Rapture”, the new 10-minute behemoth weaves together cataclysmic doom with an impeccable sense of sorrowful melody. Bay Area progressive metal outfit Inanimate Existence have premiered the title track to their upcoming album, Calling From a Dream, which is due out on September 16 via Unique Leader Records (pre-order here). “Calling From a Dream” weaves together intense tech metal chops, kaleidoscopic leads and atmospheres, symphonic elements and an interesting interplay between harsh vocals and angelic female vocals. Los Angeles’ sludge outfit Colombian Necktie have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, All Paths Lead to Nowhere, over at LA Weekly. Titled “Silly Kid”, the bludgeoning new tune combines stoner metal swagger with metallic hardcore grit and angular eccentricity. Vocalist Scott Werren commented on the new tune:
