New York’s Black Table have announced the release of their debut full-length album. The new record will bear the title Obelisk and will be released on October 14 via Silent Pendulum Records (U.S.) and Moment of Collapse Records (Europe). The album was recorded with Billy Anderson and will feature eight tracks of atmospheric/progressive/post-black metal rife with lyrical themes dealing with, according to vocalist/guitarist Mers Sumida, “human evolution, and looking at my own depression as a human condition as explored through mythologies of various cultures, from Aztec to European.”
The album’s artwork and track listing can be found after the break, along with the official video for the track “Obtuse” (via Metal Sucks).
