Texas metallic hardcore outfit Die Young have premiered their forthcoming album, No Illusions, over at New Noise Magazine. The album will officially be released this Friday, August 26, via Good Fight Music and can be pre-ordered here. Frontman Daniel Albaugh issued the following statement regarding the release:
“With ‘No Illusions’ we have amassed a collection of songs about the misery of human consciousness. Most people think dwelling on your conscious and subconscious pain is a lousy waste of time. I, however, think it makes for good inspiration to take your mind off of the sad fact that your self-absorbed life is ultimately a meaningless illusion and mad men will plunder the Earth no matter what you do. With that in mind, these songs have been pressed on to various forms of plastic for you to listen to and discard next time you move to a new apartment. If perhaps you enjoy these songs enough to take the album with you next time you move, rest assured it will still likely end up in a landfill, or better yet, choking up the ocean after you inevitably die and rot in the ground. In the words of Frank Costanza, ‘I got a lot of problems with you people! And now you’re going to hear about it!’ We hope you enjoy ‘No Illusions.’”
