Experimental blackened death metallers Veilburner have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, The Obscene Rite, at Criterion of Metal. Titled “Baphometic Catalyst”, the new track features a nearly seven-minute onslaught of gruesome blackened riffs, a myriad of strange vocals, walls of noise and sound effects, and just general evilness. Ethereal doom outfit Worm Ouroboros have announced the release of their third full-length album and follow-up to 2012’s critically-lauded Come the Thaw. The new record will be titled What Graceless Dawn and will be released on December 2 via Profound Lore Records. The effort was recorded and mixed at Oakland’s Earhammer Studios by Greg Wilkinson (Brainoil, Pallbearer, Noothgrush) and will feature six new tracks. The second of the six new tunes, “Broken Movements”, can be streamed after the break.

Japanese post-rockers Mono are currently streaming a single edit of the title track to their forthcoming album, Requiem for Hell, which is due out on October 14 via Temporary Residence Ltd, Pelagic Records and Magniph/Hostess Entertainment. Arizonian death metal quintet Gatecreeper have premiered a new track from their forthcoming full-length, Sonoran Depravation, at CVLT Nation. The new track, which vocalist Chase Mason describes as a “morbid love song”, is titled “Rotting as One” and features deliciously gritty, lurching death metal grooves.
