Ohioan heavy rockers Lo-Pan have announced the release of a new EP. The new release will be titled In Tensions and will be unleashed via Aqualamb Records on January 13, 2017. Following 2014’s Colossus, the five-track In Tensions was recorded in Columbus, Ohio by Joe Viers, with mixings duties split between Jonathan Nunez (Torche, Shitstorm) and Ryan Haft (Wrong, Capsule) in Miami, and mastered in Chicago by Carl Saff (Big Business, Helms Alee, Russian Circles). The album will be released on 10-inch vinyl limited to 500 copies and will be accompanied by a 100-page book featuring artwork from Chris Smith of Grey Aria Design, as well Lo-Pan tour diaries, flyers and a complete collection of lyrics from all of the band’s previous releases.

Michigan’s Hollow Earth have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, Dead Planet, at Heavy Blog is Heavy. Oklahoma progressive death metallers Dischordia have premiered their forthcoming full-length album, Thanatopsis, over at Metal Injection. The album will officially be released this Friday, November 25, through the band themselves and can be purchased here.
