Experimental outfit SEE? (Bangladeafy, Spacehog, et al) have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, Lightening on Your Thames, at Metal Insider. The new track, titled “SEE1”, is a hodgepodge of improvisational instrumentation that sounds like a mix of Primus, The Residents, Lightening Bolt, John Zorn weirdness and LSD. The band’s Timo Ellis says of the track:
“’Track 1,’ or ‘SEE1’ as it’s known, is something of an informal thesis statement about the band; as part of their natural first movement of improvisation during the session it reflects the frenetic intensity and imagination of these four guys playing together for the first time. The song has several distinctly different movements and sets the tone for the on-a-dime/ mood-swinging adventurousness of the rest of the record. Put simply another way… nerd alert — these guys are fuckin’ nuts.”
Check out the track below.
Lightening on Your Thames will be released on December 23 via Nefarious Industries.
