Critically-heralded post-metallers Junius have announced the release of a new full-length album. The new effort will be titled Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light and will be released on March 3 via Prosthetic Records. The album, which marks the completion of an album trilogy that began with 2009’s The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist, was recorded, mixed and mastered by Will Benoit (Caspian, et al) and takes inspiration from Elisabeth Haich’s autobiography “Initiation”. Following the departure of former member Mike Repasch-Nieves (guitars), the album was entirely wrote and performed by vocalist/guitarist Joseph E. Martinez, while drums/percussion were completed by Dana Filloon. The album also features guest appearances from Drew Speziale (Circle Takes the Square) and Gian Minardi (General Public).

Japanese trio Oozepus (Coffins, Linekraft) have announced the release of their debut four-track EP. The EP will be titled Your Limit and will see a release through Malignant Records on February 24. The EP represents a devious marriage between the sounds of both bands, resulting in a noisy, dissonant style akin to the likes of early Godflesh and Swans. Wear Your Wounds – the solo project of Converge frontman Jacob Bannon – has premiered a new track from its upcoming album, WYW, at A.V. Club. Titled “Goodbye Old Friend”, the emotional lo-fi track features over nine-minutes of slow-burning, ambiance-enveloped guitars propelled by Bannon’s fragile crooning. California sludge/post-hardcore quartet Horseneck (Will Haven, Chelsea Wolfe) have premiered the official video for their new track, “Michael Caine”, at Clrvynt. The groove-heavy tune, which appears on the band’s forthcoming Heavy Trip LP, is set to footage of the band’s antics whilst wearing animal suits. The band said the following regarding the new song:
Richmond crossover outfit Iron Reagan have unveiled the official video for their new track “Bleed the Fifth”, which comes from the group’s forthcoming Crossover Ministry LP. The thrashing, riot-inducing tune is set to a clips of the band performing and a story following two rogue cops, whom are played by the stars of Comedy Central’s “Delco Proper”.
