With a formidable amalgam of 90s crust, Pacific Northwestern dark hardcore and Swedish d-beat at their disposal, Minneapolis’ Hive create hardcore anthems for the impending apocalypse. Their stampedes of gritty, metallic anguish, which were first captured on their 2015 EP, are a must listen for fans of His Hero is Gone, Cursed and angry music as a whole. The band are poised to release their debut full-length album, titled Parasitic Twin, this April via Crown and Throne Ltd (official street date pending) and we here at Svbterranean have the first official taste of the record.
The first taste of Parasitic Twin comes in the form of “Intruder”, a furious three-minute onslaught of piss and vinegar. Grimy guitars collide head-on with bestial bass lines and pummeling percussion for optimal aural destruction. It’s fast, pissed off and has riffs for days. Need we say more?
