Belgian black metallers Wiegedood (Oathbreaker, et al) have premiered their forthcoming sophomore full-length, De Doden Hebben Het Goed II, at Terrorizer. The record will officially be released this Friday, February 10, via Consouling Sounds and can be purchased here. The band’s Levy Seynaeve told Terrorizer the following:
“After the release of the debut album ‘De Doden Hebben het Goed’ we tried to play as much as we could live. I think this really made us even more of an entity. We still had a lot of riffs and song ideas that didn’t make it on the first album which we were planning to use on the second one. But when we started rehearsing to write the second album so many new stuff came up that we ended up casting the left-over material aside once more. The new album ‘De Doden Hebben het Goed II’ came together very naturally, and was written in the same way as we did with the debut album. Of course, we remain Wiegedood, and the atmosphere is a big part of our music, but we also tapped into a more aggressive vein on this one”
