Welsh act Hark have debuted the first single from their forthcoming Season of Mist release Machinations. Subjectively I’d argue these guys are underrated. Their sound is a nice mix of stoner groove sludge, a pinch of post metal, and a progressive rock foundation.
New York blackened hardcore quarter Hellkeeper have announced the release of their debut full-length record. The new record will be titled A World Within Flesh and is set to be released on April 7 via the band themselves. The release was recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris Bittner at Applehead Studios (Coheed and Cambria, et al) and will feature nine tracks that will draw comparisons to Converge and Rotten Sound. Following hot on the heels of their well-received 2016 LP Purge, French sludge heathens Fange will return with Pourrissoir on March 17. The band recently premiered a new track from said album, titled “Ressac”, via CVLT Nation. The track is a scathing, HM-2 fueled assault full of malignant buzzsaw riffs and venomous vocals. Denver doom duo In The Company of Serpents recently premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, Ain-Soph Aur, over at Decibel. Titled “Limitless Light”, the twelve-minute tune features an epic struggle between triumphant melodies, reflective serenity and completely destructive doom and gloom.
