Denver sludge/post-hardcore hybrids, Abrams, have announced the release of their sophomore full-length record, and follow-up to 2015’s Lust.Love.Loss. The new record will be titled Mourning and will be released on June 9 via Sailor Records. The record was was recorded by Andy Patterson (SubRosa, Cult Leader) and Dave Otero (Cobalt, Cattle Decapitation), and was mixed and mastered by Otero. Bassist Taylor Iversen said the following of the album:

The Melvins have announced the release of their first double album. Titled A Walk With Love & Death, the new record will double as a traditional Melvins release and a soundtrack to a short film. Death will be a proper Melvins release, while Love will serve as the soundtrack to an upcoming short film, also titled “A Walk With Love & Death”, directed by Jesse Nieminen. Guitarist Buzz Osborne comments:
Influential hardcore act Terror have premiered a new track from their forthcoming EP, The Walls Will Fall, via Monster Energy. Titled “No Love Lost”, the roughly three-minute track features the band’s infamous, caustic blend of mosh-worthy hardcore. Frontman Scott Vogel said the following of the track:
San Francisco black metal/death metal influenced hardcore quartet Succumb recently premiered a new track from their forthcoming self-titled debut via Metal Sucks. Titled “Bedchambers”, the track sees a fiery, head-on collision between gritty metallic hardcore, disemboweling death metal riffs and frostbitten black metal stampedes, which is propelled by ghastly vocal performances. Long-running New York death metallers Internal Bleeding have announced that they will release a new digital single later this month. The new tune will be titled “Final Justice” and will serve as a teaser from the band’s forthcoming album, Corrupting Influence, which is due to be released in the near future. Guitarist Chris McCarthy said of the track:
“We really focused on the basics,…Just get on your instrument, beat the crap out of it, and try and nail it in one goddamn take.”
Guitarist Chris Pervelis adds:
“We wanted to bottle the live energy we’re known for and try and get it on a recording,…and hopefully we achieved that with this recording.”
“Final Justice” will be released digitally April 21 via Unique Leader. The single’s artwork and teaser trailer can be found after the break along with the band’s upcoming tour schedule.
Salt Lake City sludge trio The Ditch and the Delta recently premiered a new track from their forthcoming debut LP, Hives in Decline, via Decibel Magazine. Titled “Dread Spectacle”, the slow-burning tune features lumbering, jagged sludge riffs and the occasional reflective, Neurosian dirge. The band said the following of the track:
The band is also in the process of completing their sophomore full-length album, which is set to be released in the second half of 2017 through Magic Bullet Records.
