Tampa noise-infused hardcore quartet Meatwound (Combatwoundedveteran, Headless Dogs) have premiered their new track “Reproductive Blues” via Decibel. The song is off of their upcoming sophomore full-length, Largo, which is the follow-up 2015’s Addio and was recorded by Dan Byers at Rock Garden Studio, with mastering by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound.
The only albums you should ever feel guilty about are the ones you don’t buy cheap and end up having to pay over 100 dollars for later, or that time you ordered a record for far too much money, only to have the repress announced later that day. Music is wonderful. All of it. While my taste trends towards either atmospheric, hazy black metal, or drugged out, industrial influenced rock and metal, I have a soft spot for female fronted pop. Ok, it’s beyond a soft spot. I adore it. It is splendid music that can be either thought provoking or background noise. It works on sunny days, driving 85 to the beach, or on lonesome nights, sitting in quiet reflection.

So, a while back this idea came up within the ranks of Svbterranean. The idea was to post about three albums that some would consider guilty pleasures. Well, most of us came to the conclusion that we don’t really have any records that we feel guilty about liking. So how about some albums that people give us shit for? Following the dissolution of Coliseum, frontman Ryan Patterson has announced his new rock/post-punk project, Fotocrime, and debuted the new track “Always Hell” via Impose. The four-minute track, which is the title-track off the project’s upcoming debut seven-inch, features catchy rhythms and hypnotic beats, as well as gothic rock-esque vocals and electronic elements. Michigan mathcore quartet S a f e w o r d s recently released a new track from their forthcoming debut LP. The new track is titled “Missed Connections” and is comprised of three bludgeoning minutes of off-kilter rhythms and muscular groove.
