Asheville, North Carolina-based post-punk quintet Secret Shame are poised to unleash their debut, self-titled EP next month. The EP, which is due out on July 14 via Error Records, features six brooding tracks rife with gloomy melodies and atmospheric melancholia. The group’s sound is clearly influenced by the post-punk/goth scenes of the 80s, but is also possesses a modern twist on the whole genre. It’s energetic, moody, catchy and is something that those who wear all black year round will fawn over.
Progressive metal, post-metal, heavy rock riffs and psychedelic textures are woven together seamlessly in Tid‘s sprawling, otherworldly tunes. Comprised of former members of Ghost, Roswell and Circle, this Swedish outfit paints sonic landscapes that are both entrancing and menacing. Their multifaceted songwriting are best displayed in their debut EP Bortom Inom and debut full-length Giv Akt, both of which are considered classics by those well-versed in music of this caliber.
