Portland noisemakers The Body have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, I Have Fought Against It, But I Can’t Any Longer, via NPR. The new track is titled “Nothing Stirs” and features the duo’s signature blend of minimalist electronica, doom metal and harsh noise. Lingua Ignota‘s Kristin Hayter lends her harrowing vocal style to the track as well. Check it out after the break.

French experimental death/black metal outfit Chaos Echoes have premiered their forthcoming album, Mouvement, via Invisible Oranges. The record will officially be released this Friday, February 16, via Nuclear War Now! Productions. This cacophonous and complex death metal record is sure to pique the interest of fans of Portal, Deathspell Omega, and the like.

Furious hardcore, angular metalcore and earworm pop punk meld surprisingly seamlessly on Ondt Blod‘s sophomore full-length, Natur.
While this meshing of genres seems rather nonsensical on paper, this Norwegian act blends them effortlessly together and produces a sound that is technically proficient, catchy, and most of all unique. The band’s first full-length, 2016’s Finnmark, showcased the band’s admirable songwriting chops with its collision between chaotic instrumentation and addictive choruses. On their follow-up record, Natur, the band pick up where they left off and continue to refine their singular style.
