Earlier this year, Richmond, Virginia hardcore quartet Outsider released their debut demo tape via Flatspot Records. Featuring current and former members of Cold Touch, Upperhand, and others, Outsider is yet another band effectively modernizing a classic hardcore sound. Full of galloping rhythms, adrenaline pumping guitar riffs, and raw aggression, Outsider’s 2018 demo is a hard-hitting release that will serve as a precursor for what is to come.

Denver atmospheric black metal quartet Wayfarer have released a new track from their forthcoming album, World’s Blood. The new track is titled “The Dreaming Plain” and features over 10 minutes of stunning, genre-defying black metal that’s as emotive as it is crushing. New York post-hardcore legends Glassjaw have released the official music video for their track “Shira”. The track, which comes from the band’s newest album Material Control, is set to an energetic live performance clip. Leeds-based post-metal outfit Hundred Year Old Man have released a new track from their forthcoming full-length debut, Breaching. The new track is titled “Long Wall” and features nearly 10 minutes of massive, sprawling sludge wrapped in dense layers of atmosphere.
