This Friday, May 25, Swiss industrial psych outfit H E X will unleash their self-titled debut via Hummus Records. Full of heavy synth work, cybernetic guitars and seismic percussion, this four-track recording is a stark and monolithic affair that sounds like an apocalyptic interpretation of a John Carpenter film score with a hint of Godflesh-esque massiveness.
In preparation for the record’s release we have teamed up with the band to bring you an exclusive stream of the album’s opening track, “Metaheaven”. The slow-burning, nearly nine-minute track builds from quiet beginnings to a throttling barrage of cold mechanical instrumentation interwoven with kaleidoscopic, melodic synths.
