Can I just announce to the entire world that The Riot Room is the only place saving Kansas City at the moment? If it wasn’t for this venue, I am sure the entire city would be missing out on most of the great metal tours. Bigger events usually go to The Truman, Uptown Theater or even The Granada, which is all the way in Lawrence, Kansas. The Riot Room hosts many great shows and Feb 18th, 2019 was a special night for a few reason. Soulfly came through once again and brought a tribe of heathens to show us a good time. May 9th, 2018. It’s been a little over a year since I have seen Nile and probably close to 10 years since I have watched Soulfly do their thing on stage. Bands that you would think only do bigger theaters are stomping some ass in this little bar that has a maximum occupancy of 280 people. The stage is tiny, the pit is small but the atmosphere is always amazing. Doors opened. People swelled in. Beers started flowing. Let the metal begin.
