Philadelphia post-metal outfit Rosetta have announced the release of their sixth studio album. The new record, which follows 2015’s Quintessential Ephemera, will be titled Utopioid and will be self-released by the band on September 1. Utopioid was engineered and mixed by Francisco Botero with assistance from Alexis Berthelot at Studio G, Brooklyn, NY, July-August 2017. The record was produced by Botero and Rosetta, mastered by Carl Saff with artwork by Jordan Butcher for Studio Workhorse.
Vocalist/guitarist Eric Jernigan said the following of the impending effort:
New York post-hardcore outfit Driftoff (Rosetta, Junius, City of Ships) have premiered a new track from their upcoming 2-track single, Drum Machine/No Escape, at Brooklyn Vegan. The new track and B-side “No Escape” is a brooding and melodic musical venture that combines elements of post-metal and post-hardcore into one powerful little tune. Check out the track after the break.
Drum Machine/No Escape will be released on February 26 via the band’s own Radar Recordings. Pre-order here.
The band’s upcoming tour dates can be seen below as well.
