Can I just announce to the entire world that The Riot Room is the only place saving Kansas City at the moment? May 9th, 2018. It’s been a little over a year since I have seen Nile and probably close to 10 years since I have watched Soulfly do their thing on stage. The best venue in the Kansas City area, The Riot Room, was the host for the evening. This place has been a staple for big tours coming through the Midwest now. Bands that you would think only do bigger theaters are stomping some ass in this little bar that has a maximum occupancy of 280 people. Soulfly have announced a new U.S. headlining tour in support of their 2015 album, Archangel. The trek will begin on April 22 in San Antonio and will conclude on May 20 in Los Angeles. The band will be supported by death metal legends Suffocation, Detroit thrash unit Battlecross, Abnormality and Lody Kong. The touring schedule can be found after the break.
