Following their reissues of Sweatin’ To The Oldies and Sweatin’ 3: Skatin’, Satan & Katon from influential powerviolence trio Spazz, Tankcrimes Records have announced that the band’s Sweatin’ 2: Deported Live Gorilla release will also get the reissue treatment on December 9.
Powerviolence outfit Deny the Cross (Spazz, Discordance Axis, Municipal Waste, etc) have premiered a new track from their upcoming debut album, Alpha Ghoul, at Decibel. The new tune is titled “Teens in the Graveyard” features 70 seconds of gritty, high octane hardcore that will compel even the most passive of listeners to start moshing. Deny the Cross – the new powerviolence collaboration between current and former members of Spazz, Municipal Waste, Discordance Axis and more – have announce the release of their debut full-length recording. The new, 18-track record will be titled Alpha Ghoul and will see a release through Tankcrimes on July 29. Guitar, bass, and vocal tracks were captured by Greg Wilkinson (Pallbearer, Vastum) at Earhammer Studios in California with drums recorded by Chris Pierce (Rorschach, Night Birds) at his studio in New Jersey.

Tankcrimes Records has announced that they will be reissuing two classic, out of print compilation albums from the legendary powerviolence group, Spazz. Sweatin’ To The Oldies and Sweatin’ 3: Skatin’, Satan & Katon, both originally released in 1997 and 2001 respectively, compiles over 60 tracks each that were originally released on various splits, EPs and live recordings. Both releases were remastered Dan Randall (Ghoul, Impaled, Voetsek, Temple Of Dagon et al) at Mammoth Sound and will be released on March 11. Pre-order information will be announced soon.
